For those of us lucky enough to live in or around Barrie, Fall means Farmers’ Markets! And Simcoe County has a lot of them, so if you want to make the most of farm fresh foods and homemade treats, look no further than this list of the best farmers’ markets in the area.

These farmers’ markets bring together many different vendors and family farms, so that you can shop for locally grown fruit and vegetables, meats, dairy, eggs, baked goods, and handmade products without having to travel between farms across the area.
Barrie Farmers’ Market at Barrie City Hall, Collier St. and Mulcaster St.
Barrie’s Farmers’ Market is a large and very old market, with a wide range of vendors. Located centrally, at Barrie City Hall, it will likely be one of your first stops on your tour of the local markets.
East Gwillimbury Farmers' Market at East Gwillimbury Civic Centre, 19000 Leslie St., Sharon
Another market held in a central area of its city, East Gwillimbury’s Farmers’ Market is a great choice, but will only be open until October 8th, so get there soon!

Operating since 2015, the Wasaga Beach Farmers’ Market has been in operation since 2015, and has become a centre for local talent to showcase their products and produce. Their farmers’ market runs until the first week of October.
Southern Georgian Bay Farmers' Market in Midland
The Southern Georgian Bay Farmers’ Market has three different locations in Midland. It is available outdoors every Sunday until Thanksgiving, after which they move inside but are still open for business, bringing together a community of local producers, artisans, and local food vendors.
Innisfil Farmers' Market at Innisfil Recreational Complex
The Innisfil Farmers’ Market is open on Thursday afternoons in the Recreational Complex from 1-6pm, but only until October 8th. Get there while you can!

The Orillia Farmers' Market is one of the longest running farmers' markets in the province. It has a range of locally produced foods, handmade crafts from around the county, and special events for the family, like local musicians.
Orillia Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market at Orillia District Agricultural Society
The Orillia Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market is available year-round from 8am until 1pm, with over 40 farmers and producers. They have an online farmers’ market available as well. Corn, beans, tomatoes and squash are all in season!
